Here's something super cool that I wish I would've known when I was graduating High School: Becoming an Aesthetician, then getting trained and certified as a laser technician is a fast track to a great career with a very fair income and amazing opportunities. It also doesn't hurt that you will become a pro at handling your breakouts and unwanted hair... So the 500-hour program is for the state of Oregon where our Premiere Aesthetics Institute is located. The number of hours required for your aesthetics license will vary depending on which state you are trying to become licensed in. If you have already completed a program in one state and received your license, but then move to a different state, you are able to make up the difference in hours required (if any needed) and get licensed in the new state of residency. In some states, they do not require that you have an aesthetics license in order to become a laser technician and work in a medical spa. Idaho is one of those states. Not a good feeling. Over time your skin looses it's youthful glow as well as it's nice tight structure. Let's touch back on some terms from my first blog post "First the Run Down on Laser..." and those terms are: ablative and non-ablative.
